Douglas has the most experience and training on the saxophone, as it was the instrument he studied in college. No matter the genre - classical, funk, jazz, pop, blues -  Douglas gives his students the tools to improve their tone, technique, and artistry on the saxophone.

Bass Guitar Lessons

With multiple years of experience playing bass guitar in pop, rock, funk, country, and folk bands, Douglas offers his students the knowledge they need to become a strong all-around bassist.

Improvisation, Music Theory, or Composition Lessons

all levels

Douglas loves to use his experience as a jazz musician, composer, and arranger to help students understand the inner-workings of music. These lessons are suitable for any instrumentalist or vocalist looking to strengthen their grasp on music theory so that they can use it, not just know it.

Piano or Guitar Lessons

Beginner - intermediate

Having studied both the piano and the guitar since he was young, Douglas maintains his skills on these instruments because of the role they play in helping people understand the basics of music (also, because he still enjoys playing them). Douglas is equipped to take his beginner and intermediate piano and guitar students to the next level.

Rates: $35/half-hour or $60/hour

Students may come to Douglas' home in Temple Terrace, or Douglas is happy to travel to your home for an additional $5 charge.
